What is the Practice Protect University?

The Practice Protect University (PPU) is a hub of information, education and training for you and your team. The PPU is a client-exclusive platform that contains compliance documents, on-demand video training, client trust templates and data security templates.

We also hold webinars designed to walk you through the Practice Protect University. These webinars are held every fortnight. You can register below:

#3 – What happened to the Cloud Best Practice monthly sessions?

All our past Cloud Best Practice monthly sessions are available as on-demand videos on the Practice Protect University. They are found in the Team Cyber Security Training Videos portion of the PPU.

We will be releasing new training sessions for on-demand training and will email clients once we have new live training videos.

#4 – What happened to the Cloud Best Practice certification program?

The Cloud Best Practice certification has been retired and the Accounting Data Security Standard certification has taken its place.

#5 – What Is the Accounting Data Security Standard (ADSS)?

The ADSS is a global accreditation reserved for accounting firms who uphold the highest standards of data security.

The ADSS is available to all Practice Protect customers who complete platform onboarding, system configuration and team training (all included within the cost of Practice Protect). The ADSS accreditation is earned via a written test. Once passed, accreditation is granted and the ADSS logos may be used in email signatures, on your website and throughout your selling collateral.

#6 – Should I still take the ADSS exam If our firm has already earned a Cloud Best Practice certification?

Yes. As we are retiring the CBP program, we are also retiring the Cloud Best Practice certification. If you were a Cloud Best Practice firm, you will need to take the ADSS exam to earn the ADSS accreditation. Having a CBP certification will not automatically grant your firm an ADSS accreditation.

#7 – How many team members need to take the ADSS exam?

As long as one person from your firm has taken and passed the ADSS exam, your firm can be accredited.

#8 – How do I take the ADSS exam?

The ADSS exam can be taken via the Practice Protect University.

#9 – I’ve taken the ADSS exam—now what?

Our team will get onto sending you your certificate and ADSS logos that you can use on your website/communications once you’ve passed the exam.

The ADSS logo can be displayed on your website and will show that your firm is an ADSS-accredited firm.

If you’ve failed, you’re welcome to take the exam again. There are no limits to retaking the exam.

#10 – What happened to the Cloud Best Practice monthly sessions?

All our past Cloud Best Practice monthly sessions are available as on-demand videos on the Practice Protect University. They are found in the Team Cyber Security Training Videos portion of the PPU.

We will email clients once we have new live training videos and will do the same when we release new on-demand videos.
