Migrate your Practice Manager or Xero Tax login to your Xero credentials

Update your Practice Manager or Xero Tax login to use your Xero credentials.

How it works

• If you already have a Xero added to Practice Protect, link your Practice Manager or Xero Tax account to your Xero account to use the same App.
• Your old Practice Manager or Xero Tax login and Practice Protect App will be disabled after you’ve merged your Xero credentials.
• Once you’ve linked your Practice Manager or Xero Tax account to your Xero account, you’ll be able to set up two-step authentication to add an extra layer of security to your accounts.
• From March 2018, two-step authentication will be mandatory for all Australian users of Practice Manager and Xero Tax.

Logging into Practice Manager or Xero Tax you receive “ATO will require all users to login using 2-Step”

1. The below message has appeared when logging into Practice Manager or Xero Tax. Click Change to  Xero login now.
2. Click Change to  Xero login now. 
3. On right right of email address click the red circle, your Xero account should appear highlight it tick Auto Login then Go.
4. If you have not yet setup 2-step authentication for Xero, you’ll be redirected to the settings page for you to set it up. Refer to Two-step with Practice Protect.
5. You’ll now be asked to confirm the merge. Click Confirm new login. 
6. Once the confirmed, your new login account will be your Xero(Blue) account. 
7. From the My Xero Enter tab you will now have an option to chose Practice Manager. This now replaces the Practice Manager or Xero Tax App in Practice Protect and you will now use the Xero App only

Merge Practice Manager or Xero Tax to Xero Login

1. Log into Practice Manager or Xero Tax.
2. Click Login with Xero. 
3. On right right of email address click the red circle, your Xero account should appear highlight it tick Auto Login then Go.
