Purpose
This guide explains how to sign into your User Portal for the first time using your Microsoft 365 login.
This guide only applies to firms with Microsoft Entra ID as its source identity and is managed by an IT professional. If this is not your deployment type, please refer to this guide.
Instructions
An email from Practice Protect will be sent to your email address. Check your mailbox. (If you haven’t received this email in your inbox, please check your junk mail folder).
1. Click on the Login Now button.
Password Administrators can use the Send Email for Portal Setup Guide to invite users to the Practice Protect User Portal.
2. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address.
3. You will be redirected to the Microsoft 365 Sign-in page. Enter your Microsoft 365 password, then click Sign In. If you’re already signed in to Microsoft 365, you can skip to step 5.
4. Complete your Microsoft 365 MFA requirements and continue.
5. Complete your Practice Protect MFA (if required).
6. You will now be logged in to the User Portal.
7. If the browser extension is already installed, proceed to Step 15. Otherwise, install it by opening the provided link for your preferred browser.
9. Click the installation button.
10. Click Add extension.
11. Click on the Puzzle Piece at the top right corner of the browser, and Pin the browser extension.
12. Refresh the Practice Protect User Portal and click Sign In.
13. Next disable the browser password prompts. Click on the Logo, click on the Gear icon, and select Disable browser password prompts.
14. If you are prompted to grant additional permissions to the Browser Extension, click Allow.
15. From the user portal, test and launch the application by clicking on the app icon. It will automatically fill in your username, and password, and sign you in. If no credentials are saved for the first time, it will prompt you to set it up.
