Add Secured Note

Purpose

Secured Note allow users to securely store non-password information, such as encryption keys, app licenses, and private or personal information. Access to these items can also be controlled to help keep sensitive information secure.

Instructions

1. Sign in to Practice Protect. You will be automatically directed to Access Space, where you can launch your available cloud apps or secured items.
2. In the top-right corner, click Add. From the dropdown menu, select Secured Note.

   

3. Enter a Name for the note and provide the relevant information in Notes. Description is optional. T
   • Name: Adobe License
   • Notes: Adobe Acrobat Pro license – License key: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
   • Description: Adobe Acrobat Pro license details

     

4. Click Save.
5. Your newly created Secured Note is now added to your Access Space. To view the note, simply click on it.

   

Notes:
If you wish to share the secured note with other users,  follow this sharing guide.

Note: Secured Items & Passwords are stored in the account they are created in. In the event the user account hosting the items is deleted all items are deleted, even if items are shared with other accounts.

Copy Secured Note via Browser Extension

You can copy Secure Note values directly through the Browser Extension. This is useful when you want to access and copy the information without returning to the Practice Protect platform.

1. Click the Browser Extension in the top-right corner of your browser, then click the Secure Items icon.
2. Select the Secure Item you want to copy, then click the Menu icon.

   

3. Select Copy Secure Note.

   

4. A notification will appear that you copied the secured note.

   

5. The Secured Note value is now copied to your clipboard and can be pasted where required.
